UK Border Agency targets Linford Park Nursing Home in Ringwood

ELEVEN people have been arrested in an immigration raid on a Hampshire nursing home today.
Officers from the UK Border Agency swooped on Linford Park Nursing Home in Poulner near Ringwood at 6am after a tip-off. Three members of staff were also arrested by public protection officers from Hampshire Constabulary following contact from the Border Agency. Last night the three employees remained in custody.
A spokesman for the agency said: “The operation was intelligence-led and targeted immigration offenders working illegally at the home.
“Eleven people have been detained by the UK Border Agency.”
He added that the raid was supported by Hampshire County Council’s adult services department.
Immigration officers are questioning those arrested tonight.
The home, in Linford Park Road, was rated adequate and given one star in its latest inspection by the Commission For Social Care.
